  • Manages the end-to-end administrative and event lifecycle of all In-Residence training courses, directing the onboarding, processing, and tracking of International Military Students (IMS) from U.S. entry through graduation.
  • Plans and executes all aspects of the DoD Field Studies Program (FSP), designing local cultural excursions, community briefings, and institutional visits to ensure IMS gain balanced exposure to U.S. society.
  • Serves as the primary institutional liaison for AFSAT, NETSAFA, SATFA, Security Cooperation Offices (SCO) in the U.S. Embassies-and other necessary stakeholders; maintains continuous, culturally competent communication to align IMS operations and meet federal reporting timelines.
  • Enforces strict compliance with DSCA, SAMM, IMET, FMF, and Section 333 regulations across all domestic course frameworks, maintaining audit-ready instructor, guest speaker, and IMS records.
  • Audits and tracks course expenditures, local travel orders, and IMS per diem allotments; submits APAC and GPC requisitions for catering, venue space, and academic materials under supervisor direction.
  • Communicates regularly with internal program staff, federal leads, facility managers, and external vendors to align on-site logistical support with program goals.
  • Supports research initiatives by managing current student and alumni databases, administering educational evaluation tools, and tracking longitudinal metrics to improve future course iterations.
  • Analyzes course outcomes, resource utilization, and student lessons learned to recommend structural process improvements and cost-saving measures.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attending and participating in required training for the role.

HJF is seeking a In-Residence Course Coordinator to provide strategic oversight and leadership for the Health Security Cooperation Education and Training (HSCET) Program in support of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (NIDHC). The HSCET In-Residence Course Coordinator coordinates the end-to-end administrative, logistical, and academic lifecycle for all in-residence training for the HSCET Program.

This position will be in support of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (NIDHC). The mission of NIDHC is to support military and civilian health operational readiness in crisis and conflict. NIDHC is a unique organization that acts as a central source of coordination and support of health operational readiness for the U.S. Department of War (DoW) and coordinates and collaborates among six U.S. Departments: DoD, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, Veterans Administration, State, and Transportation. NIDHC is an International Military Education & Training (IMET) certified schoolhouse providing Health Security Cooperation training. Using Title 22 and Title 10 security assistance authorities, NIDHC delivers specialized training through in-residence and mobile courses. By leveraging DoW and federal interagency experts, NIDHC develops curricula to build partner capacity and strengthen relationships.
