Thompson Palm Springs Resort is seeking an engaging and hospitality-driven Part-Time In Room Dining Server to join our team!

The resort features Lola Rose, a bold Eastern Mediterranean dining experience inspired by the spice markets of Istanbul and the seasonal bounty of California, alongside Bar Issi, an elevated coastal Italian concept that blends relaxed luxury with coastal culinary sophistication. Two expansive pool experiences, immersive mountain views, the HALL Napa Valley Tasting Room, and over 35,000 square feet of dynamic indoor and outdoor event venues provide endless opportunities for unforgettable gatherings. As an In Room Dining Server, your duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Stock, set-up, and deliver all room service orders and property amenities to guest rooms
• Retrieve trays from the guest rooms to maintain a neat and sanitary appearance
• Be knowledgeable of all services provided within the hotel and all menu items
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Ensure correct posting in POS system for communication to the service and kitchen department.

This is a nonexempt (hourly) role. The budgeted rate for this role is $16.90. This is the hourly rate for this position that Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual hourly rates will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.

Qualifications

• Riverside County's Food Handler's Card

• California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certificate

• Must be at least 21 years of age (required by California law to handle alcoholic beverages)

• Previous experience working at a hotel/resort preferred

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

• Refined verbal communication skills.

• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
