Job Summary

The In-Service Support Network Technician provides help desk support, onboard technical assistance, and sustainment services for Navy network systems. This role ensures fleet users receive responsive troubleshooting and continued operational support.
 

Responsibilities and Duties

Selected candidates will provide network help desk services and technical troubleshooting support, conduct onboard technical assists for Navy platforms as required, resolve system issues related to software, hardware, and connectivity, and maintain support documentation and track resolution activities.
 

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

(Required) Minimum of  three (3) years of experience providing network help desk support including on-board tech assists onboard navy platforms. 

(Desired) Experience in RHEL, Windows Server, Windows Client, VMWare, Ansible, Cisco, NETSEC, DoD PKI, Aruba, Cloud computing CMPro and JIRA. Experience providing remote network help desk support for navy submarine platforms. Ability to earn NAVSEA Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Level 1 and Level 2 certification within 60 days. Training completed 01/01/2025 or later.
 

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline (Preferred)
