What’s In Store For You

• Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)
• Approximately six-month assignment supporting maternity-leave coverage.
• 100% onsite laboratory position in Piscataway, New Jersey.
• Typical schedule is approximately 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with flexibility around study requirements.
• Some early-morning, evening, and weekend coverage may be required.
• Weekend schedules are generally planned several weeks in advance.
• Opportunity to gain experience within a growing pharmaceutical research environment.
• Longer-term extension may become possible depending on organizational needs but is not guaranteed.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Execute hands-on in vivo pharmacology studies primarily involving mouse models.
• Handle and restrain mice independently during scheduled experimental procedures.
• Administer compounds through techniques including oral gavage and intravenous dosing.
• Perform blood collection using submandibular, tail-vein, and saphenous-vein techniques.
• Support studies requiring multiple daily dosing schedules and time-sensitive procedures.
• Monitor animal health and document observations accurately.
• Assist with terminal study procedures, necropsies, and tissue collections as needed.
• Work closely with a small team of scientists to coordinate laboratory studies and maintain smooth daily operations.
• Follow approved animal-use protocols, institutional procedures, and applicable animal-welfare standards.

Do You Bring Proven Success in Hands-On Mouse Research?

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, animal science, pharmacology, or related field with 5+ years of postgraduate relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of postgraduate relevant experience.
• Recent, hands-on experience working directly with mice is essential.
• Strong proficiency with mouse handling and restraint.
• Hands-on experience with oral gavage and IV dosing.
• Experience performing blood collections such as submandibular, tail-vein, and saphenous-vein bleeds.
• Ability to perform animal procedures independently without extensive foundational training.
• Comfortable working in a fully onsite laboratory environment with occasional schedule flexibility.
• Collaborative personality suited to a small, closely integrated scientific team.
• Veterinary or animal-research backgrounds may be considered when they include substantial hands-on small-animal or mouse research experience.
