The Inaugural Program Director will provide leadership for all aspects of an emergent PA program. The Program Director is responsible for the organization administration fiscal management continuous review and analysis planning development and provisional accreditation of the PA program. Additionally the Program Director is responsible for ensuring the program complies with the ARC-PA throughout the accreditation process. Once accreditation is obtained the Program Director is responsible for ensuring the program remains in compliance. Applicants should have demonstrated expertise in these areas. Priority Application Instructions Departmental Contact Information Essential Job Functions Duty and Responsibility MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP Develop short- and long-range planning objectives for the PA program including establishing program employee recruitment and retention and development of relationships with clinical partners. Advise the Dean of the College of Science Health and Pharmacy on matters concerning the programs administration educational policies and decisions related to the well-being of the programs faculty staff and students. Prepare ARC-PA required reports and accreditation documents including provisional accreditation documents and self-study materials. Lead programmatic accreditation processes specific to the ARC-PA. Oversee the programs clinical component to include managing clinical curriculum and those faculty supporting this curriculum. Oversee the programs didactic component to include managing didactic curriculum and those faculty supporting this curriculum. Develop an annual self-study report with a review of goals achievements and outcomes for the Deans review. Oversee the preparation of all program policies documents handbooks assessment and remediation tools and surveys. Review and revise the PA curriculum as necessary to comply with the ARC-PA Standards. Provide effective leadership guidance and academic support to the PA program. Collaborate with College of Science Health and Pharmacy faculty and leadership. Represent the PA program to internal and external constituents. Participate in professional college and university service activities. Provide fiscal management of program budget. Percentage Of Time 35 Duty and Responsibility INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT Develop new curriculum and courses course syllabi and outlines revise courses evaluate curriculum. In consultation with program faculty make recommendations to the Dean of the College of Science Health and Pharmacy for expansion andor termination of program components as appropriate.Implement appropriate program revisions and online course catalog updates.Maintain appropriate records and conduct annual data-driven reviews of program processes and student progression.Teach or co-teach at least one course in the program each year.Foster interprofessional and interdisciplinary scholarly endeavors and collaboration. Percentage Of Time 35 Duty and Responsibility HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Supervise all program faculty and staff prepare annual performance reviews help facilitate individual goals and growth with appropriate professional development opportunities and recommendations. Recruit program faculty and staff as needed including reviewing applications participating in the interview process and making recommendations for employment. Liaise with faculty to ensure communication of their responsibility for providing administrative support to the program by conducting student evaluations completing and submitting grades rosters rubrics and timely submission of activities specific to program peer and student assessment. Create and encourage a positive team-based work environment where collaboration is common. Implement and maintain good record-keeping regarding all facets of the program course student faculty staff files. Percentage Of Time 15 Duty and Responsibility MARKETING RECRUITMENT AND ADMISSIONS Actively collaborate with Enrollment Services and Marketing departments to develop strategies for program promotion and national recognition. Work collaboratively with Enrollment Services and college enrollment team to develop strategies for the recruitment of highly qualified and diverse student candidates and to provide responsive and proactive communication with prospective students. In conjunction with college experiential education teams cultivate relationships with clinical partners to collaboratively educate our students.
