Inbound/Outbound Logistics Coordinator — Madison Heights, MI
Step into a day where precision meets pace. At 9:00 AM, you’re on the floor at Ionbond — The Surface Engineers — preparing incoming parts for world-class surface treatments. You open crates, verify counts, measure with calipers and tape, and enter exacting details into our ERP so production can move without a hitch. Throughout the day, you partner with our Customer Service team to answer status questions, clarify specs, and ensure every shipment reflects Ionbond quality.

What you’ll do
- Receive orders and complete all pre-coat steps to initiate order entry in the ERP system.
- Unpack, visually inspect, measure, and document per customer specifications and company requirements.
- Verify incoming product against PO specs using calipers, tape measures, scales, and other inspection aids.
- Collaborate with Customer Service to resolve inquiries and ensure seamless handoffs.
- Maintain supplies and pitch in across the department; serve as backup driver of the company van.
- Accurately enter and update orders in the ERP; maintain data integrity.
- Load and unload trucks using a walk-behind forklift.
- Take on other related duties as needed.

What you bring
- High School Diploma required; Associate Degree a plus
- 1–3 years in shipping/receiving within manufacturing
- Attention to detail and high accuracy standards
- Experience with FedEx, UPS, and related shipping platforms (FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip)
- Ability to read 6-point font, distinguish colors, and sit/stand for extended periods
- Strong PC skills (typing, MS Office) and clear verbal/written communication
- Excellent work ethic, organization, and time management
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfort lifting up to 50 lb. and operating a walk-behind forklift
