Inbound/Outbound Logistics Coordinator — Madison Heights, MI

Step into a day where precision meets pace. At 9:00 AM, you’re on the floor at Ionbond — The Surface Engineers — preparing incoming parts for world-class surface treatments. You open crates, verify counts, measure with calipers and tape, and enter exacting details into our ERP so production can move without a hitch. Throughout the day, you partner with our Customer Service team to answer status questions, clarify specs, and ensure every shipment reflects Ionbond quality.

What you’ll do

  • Receive orders and complete all pre-coat steps to initiate order entry in the ERP system.
  • Unpack, visually inspect, measure, and document per customer specifications and company requirements.
  • Verify incoming product against PO specs using calipers, tape measures, scales, and other inspection aids.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to resolve inquiries and ensure seamless handoffs.
  • Maintain supplies and pitch in across the department; serve as backup driver of the company van.
  • Accurately enter and update orders in the ERP; maintain data integrity.
  • Load and unload trucks using a walk-behind forklift.
  • Take on other related duties as needed.

Madison Heights, MI | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

What you bring

  • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree a plus
  • 1–3 years in shipping/receiving within manufacturing
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy standards
  • Experience with FedEx, UPS, and related shipping platforms (FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip)
  • Ability to read 6-point font, distinguish colors, and sit/stand for extended periods
  • Strong PC skills (typing, MS Office) and clear verbal/written communication
  • Excellent work ethic, organization, and time management
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Comfort lifting up to 50 lb. and operating a walk-behind forklift
