Inbound/Outbound Logistics Technician

When the second shift kicks off in Lake Orion, you become the steady hand that keeps parts and products moving. Over a 3–6 month contract, you will own the flow of goods from receiving through staging and outbound shipment, keeping records precise and the warehouse organized—all while earning $19.00 per hour.

Role snapshot

• Pick and pack daily orders with care; stage each shipment accurately to meet customer specifications.
• Audit both inbound and outbound loads; support shipper audits and implement needed corrections.
• Follow FIFO to ensure the oldest stock ships first.
• Process documents, schedules, and system entries; record and post all receipts daily.
• Receive deliveries with accuracy; unload/load carriers and verify counts and paperwork.
• Store stock in the correct locations; keep aisles, racks, and staging areas tidy and safe.
• Drive a forklift/hi-lo to move materials as required.
• Assist with customer service inquiries and timely follow-ups.
• Cross-train and, when needed, train coworkers on shipping and receiving procedures.
• Pitch in across shipping, receiving, and production control as priorities shift.

What you bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2+ years in shipping/receiving, preferably in an automotive environment.
• Proficiency operating a forklift and hi-lo.
• Solid computer aptitude and clear written and verbal communication.

Physical demands

• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and walking.
• Ability to climb portable ladders.

Schedule, location, and compensation

• Location: Lake Orion, Michigan
• Contract: 3–6 months
• Compensation: $19.00 per hour
• Second Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
