Under direct, limited supervision the Incident Management Coordinator provides coordination and oversight to the BHDD-OIDD Incident Management System. Duties include:

Understanding of the BHDD-OIDD Mission and its approach to consumer-oriented risk management activities. Ability to exercise professional judgment and discretion, including the interpretation of Agency Directives and Standards and the application of the SC Omnibus Adult Protection Act. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships while working with limited supervision. Effective communication, time management, and decision making skills. Ability to prepare clear and comprehensive reports, as requested. Knowledge of and prior experience with disabilities-specific provider systems, including critical incident response.

Immunization: If this position requires the applicant to work directly with consumers of The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, tuberculosis (TB) skin or blood testing must be completed prior to beginning employment. All new employees who are healthcare providers are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, Varicella and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.
State Disaster Plan: In accordance with the States Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, employees of The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
