General Description:

General Function:
Under the supervision of the SUN Site Manager, Inclusion Assistant will support one student during their time in the summer SUN Program. Student's supports will be based of their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Supports include but are not limited to, ensuring student is in expected location, supporting student to stay on task and ensuring access to calm and flexible participation options.
Schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 9-11:30am. July 6-30, 2026.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to work with diverse groups and provide a welcoming environment to students Ability to effectively manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information Work effectively within a team-dependent environment Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills in a language in addition to English is beneficial
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or GED or equivalent, relevant experience Experience teaching and/or working with school aged students
Other Requirements:
Personal transportation allowing for travel within the Portland Metropolitan area in a timely manner. If driving a personal vehicle must maintain a valid driver license for the state of residency, personal auto liability insurance coverage and a driving record permitting coverage under the agency auto liability policy.
MFS requires all employees and volunteers to complete a criminal background check which includes a fingerprint background check. We review the results of all background checks individually and consider all of the circumstances of any issues that arise in a background check during the hiring process.
Work Environment:
Work is normally performed in a collaborative classroom/office environment and/or at other locations as deemed necessary.
