Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Income Tax Accountant to join our growing tax team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, tax planning, and reporting functions within the organization. This role requires an understanding of corporate and/or partnership tax laws, financial reporting for income taxes (ASC 740), and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, local, and foreign income tax returns (C-Corp, Partnerships, Non-Profit).
Assist with quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
Prepare quarterly estimates and extensions.
Prepare and review fixed assets computations for all areas of tax
Perform technical tax research and draft memoranda on complex tax issues.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
Assist with federal, state, and foreign tax audits, including responses to IDRs received from tax authorities, as assigned.
Respond to federal and state tax notices and correspondence.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including accounting, finance, legal, and external tax consultants.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the tax function.
Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; MST is a plus.
CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of corporate and/or public accounting tax experience with a Big 4 or regional CPA firm, and/or a large multinational company, including tax return preparation experience.
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws, and experience with ASC 740.
Strong tax research, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Strong PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online research tools
Knowledge of ONESOURCE Provision, a plus
