Incoming Inspector

Position Summary:

The incoming inspection team is responsible for verifying all material orders that are received through the facility to ensure proper counts, paperwork, description, material identification, measurement and verifying invoicing.

Primary Functions:

• PMI (positive material identification) using a Niton gun
• Verify counts
• Verify invoice to packing slip and keep paperwork organized
• Use of fork truck and pallet jack
• Organization of pallets and boxes
• Use of measuring devices (Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauge)
• Verify invoice to packing slip and keep paperwork organized
• Lift boxes out of pallets up to (40lbs)
• Organization of pallets and boxes
• Dimensional Ra inspection
• Read blueprints

Qualifications:

• Data entry/computer skills
• Use of measuring devices (Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauge)
• Organizational skills
• Basic Mathematics skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Teamwork
• Ability to follow directions
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Prior relevant work experience a plus a willingness to learn and adapt to changes in processes and policies and proactively ask for clarification when needed.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
• May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory.

Salary Range: 
$18/hr - $20/hr
