Incoming Quality Assurance Inspector – Manufacturing Components

A day in this role

Your shift begins at 2:00pm CST. You’ll head to the IQA area, review the day’s priorities, and get hands-on with incoming raw materials and components. Working under general guidance, you’ll compare parts and finished goods to approved specifications and inspection plans, recording everything in compliance with cGMP and GDP requirements.

• Verify incoming components and finished goods against drawings, standards, and inspection plans.
• Use precision tools—calipers, scales, thickness and force gauges, an optical comparator, and related measurement systems—to confirm conformance.
• Check printed/labelled materials against master documents, flagging any discrepancies.
• Document results accurately and completely for traceability and record retention.
• Partner with Warehouse and Manufacturing teams to coordinate material/component release and movement.
• Keep the IQA inspection area organized and clean; file and copy records; maintain IQA office supply levels.
• Support additional tasks as assigned to meet department goals.

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma required; 1–2 years of quality experience preferred, or an Associate’s degree in a Science or Engineering field.
• Meticulous documentation habits and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction, work independently, and adapt as priorities shift.
• Comfort using multiple computer systems; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Personal integrity, self-control, and openness to feedback.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and move throughout a large plant.

Schedule and pay

Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm CST. Occasional overtime. Pay rate: $27.20 per hour.
