Position Overview

Adecco is currently hiring an experienced Incoming Quality Inspector for a manufacturing opportunity with Northeast Electronics in Milford, CT. This position offers $20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

The Incoming Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting incoming components and materials to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience reading mechanical component drawings, working with precision measuring equipment, and accurately documenting inspection results.

Candidates should have prior experience in a quality inspection or incoming inspection role within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming components and materials to verify conformance to specifications and tolerances.
• Read and interpret mechanical component drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment, including:
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Height indicators/gauges
  • Optical comparators
• Accurately enter inspection results into the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or discrepancies.
• Communicate quality concerns to appropriate internal teams and assist with resolving issues.
• Follow established quality procedures and inspection processes.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality and inspection procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in quality inspection, incoming inspection, or a similar manufacturing quality role.
• Must be able to read and understand mechanical-level component drawings.
• Hands-on experience using micrometers, calipers, and height indicators/gauges.
• Knowledge and experience using optical comparators.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to accurately enter information into a Quality Management System.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify components that do not meet specifications.
• Ability to accurately document inspection findings and maintain organized records.
• Knowledge of AS9100D and/or ISO 9001 is a plus.

Preferred Experience

Experience inspecting precision-manufactured mechanical components in an aerospace, electronics, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
