ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a skilled and motivated Material Testing Project Representative to support our construction projects in Mason County, West Virginia as an independent contractor (1099). This is a field-focused role that is central to the quality and success of our work, and a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants the flexibility of contract-based work. ENGAGEMENT TYPE This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not an employee role. As an independent contractor, you will:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
WHAT YOU'LL BRING Experience: Material testing experience highly desirable Safety certifications: OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR certifications highly desirable technical certifications: ACI or WVDOH testing certifications highly valuable Business requirements: Ability to provide proof of independent contractor status (e.g., business license, general liability insurance) as required by contract COMPENSATION & CONTRACT TERMS Compensation is paid per the terms of your independent contractor agreement (e.g., per project, per day, or per assignment) and is reported annually via Form 1099-NEC. Contractors are responsible for their own income tax withholding, including self-employment tax, and for maintaining any required licenses or insurance. Pre-engagement drug screening and background checks required. Must be authorized to work in the United States. |
