Position overviewWe are seeking a reliable, patient, and attentive Independent Living Services (ILS) Instructor to provide one-on-one support for individual with Autism. Services will focus on increasing independence in daily living skills, that include and vary from aiding with medical appointments, time management, Financial Literacy and meal prep/cooking, while ensuring safety and accessibility. The ideal candidate is adaptable, observant, and comfortable supporting an individual with their induvial needs of support.

Communication & AccessibilityTasks involving, promote independence, self-determination, and community inclusion. This position assists individuals in developing and maintaining essential daily living skills while respecting each person's choices, abilities, and goals.
Adapted Training NeedsTasks involved: to increase independence in daily living skills. Using person-centered and accessible teaching strategies, the specialist adapts communication, learning methods, and activities to meet everyone’s unique abilities and needs.

Job Requirements Required Qualifications & Compliance
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, and Cerebral Palsy preferred.
- Patient, dependable, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to provide hands-on assistance as needed
- Two forms of valid identification
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Live Scan fingerprint clearance
- Current TB test clearance
