Indexing Operations Specialist

Watermark Risk Management is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Indexing Operation Specialist to support the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) in ensuring integrity, accuracy, and compliance of Department of Air Force (DAF) criminal justice records within federal databases and case management systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of criminal justice information systems, and the ability to collaborate to resolve complex indexing and compliance issues.

This position supports the AFCJIC in DAF criminal justice information indexing, compliance, and records management across multiple systems. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance of criminal justice data, including conducting audits, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating with MAJCOMs, Security Forces, OSI, and legal offices. This position is contingent upon a successful contract award.

In this role you will…

  • Conduct audits, evaluations, and corrections of indexing records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance across assigned MAJCOM installations.
  • Provide guidance to MAJCOM units on indexing and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with OSI, Security Forces, legal offices, and AFCJIC leadership to resolve discrepancies, respond to RFIs, and address compliance deficiencies.
  • Monitor and track the submission and management of records, including warrants, missing persons, lost and stolen property, Military Protection Orders (MPOs), and other reportable data
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Disposition of Firearms (DOF) checks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience creating or managing criminal justice information records.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a sworn law enforcement officer or comparable criminal justice experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of criminal justice system terminology and processes.
  • Hands‑on experience entering and managing records in federal, state, or local criminal justice information systems (e.g., FBI systems, NCIC, NICS, or equivalent).
  • Experience conducting real‑time evaluations, audits, and corrections of records.
  • Experience interpreting and applying law, DoW, and DAF policies (or similar regulatory frameworks) regarding records.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (criminal justice, criminology, or related fields).
Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Other Requirements:
  • Reports to a physical location and requires the ability to traverse between buildings
  • 10% Travel Required
  • May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
