Indirect Services Buyer

Contract Length: 6 Months
Location: El Segundo, CA; Kent, WA; Merritt Island, FL; Cape Canaveral, FL; Melbourne, FL

Join a dynamic procurement organization supporting cutting-edge aerospace and technology initiatives. The Indirect Services Buyer (Level 2) will be responsible for sourcing software services, IT/ET hardware, SaaS solutions, and related professional services while ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and timely procurement operations.

Indirect Services Buyer Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end procurement activities for software licensing, SaaS subscriptions, IT/ET hardware, and related professional services.
  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in accordance with established procurement policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to maximize value while minimizing risk.
  • Review and interpret software licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, maintenance agreements, and support terms.
  • Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Finance, and Legal stakeholders to define requirements and align on specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, invoicing, and contract performance.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation to support compliance and audit requirements.
  • Track and report key procurement metrics, including cost savings, cycle times, and supplier performance.
  • Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, standardization, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, applicable regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.

Indirect Services Buyer Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • 3 5 years of procurement or purchasing experience with a strong focus on indirect spend categories.
  • Hands-on experience sourcing software services, IT/ET hardware, and SaaS solutions.
  • Knowledge of software licensing models, SaaS subscription structures, and IT hardware procurement practices.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Experience using ERP and procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Indirect Services Buyer Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with procurement compliance requirements, including FAR and DFARS regulations.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or equivalent.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
  • Understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for software, SaaS, and IT hardware purchases.
