We are seeking an experienced Indirect Services Buyer II for a contract position. This role will focus on the strategic sourcing and procurement of software services, IT/ET (Information Technology/Engineering Technology) hardware, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. The ideal candidate will support procurement operations by ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of indirect goods and services that contribute to our mission of building a road to space.

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $40 - $52 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday (Overtime as needed)

Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing

  • Execute end-to-end procurement activities for software licensing, SaaS subscriptions, IT/ET hardware, and related professional services.
  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value while mitigating risk.
  • Review and interpret software licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, and maintenance/support agreements.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including IT, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to define requirements and align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, invoicing, and contract performance.
  • Support sourcing initiatives and supplier selection processes to ensure best-value outcomes.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records to support audit and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and report key procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times.
  • Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, standardization, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, with a focus on indirect spend categories.
  • Hands-on experience sourcing:
    • Software services
    • SaaS solutions
    • IT/ET hardware
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, SaaS subscription structures, and IT hardware procurement.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Experience using ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
