The application is found at www.beaufort.k12.nc.us under the Employment section.Beaufort County Schools Job Description JOB TITLE INDIVIDUAL STUDENT TRANSPORTATIONTRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENTGENERAL STATEMENT OF JOBUnder general supervision transports certain students in a system-owed vehicles to and from school attends to the special needs of students and supervises student behavior during transport. Work involves driving students from various locations to school sites observing students activities advising students of rules pertaining to behavior providing assistance to students as appropriate. The employee receives detailed instruction of the duties and responsibilities of this work. Reports to Transportation Department.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSDrives students to and from various sites to school sites.Provides limited medical and emergency assistance as necessaryHelps students with special needs in manipulating equipment they may use and entering and exiting the car.Is aware of conditions that may impair safe transportation for students.Ensures that wheelchairs car seats and other types of child safety restraint systems are properly and securely fastened.Reports problems and concerns of students to the designated authority.Cleans vehicle as needed to maintain a healthy and safe environment.Submits required reports forms or documents in a timely manner.Performs other related work as required.MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEClear criminal background check NC Driver&rsquos license and clean driving record. Must be able to exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical requirements are consistent with those for Medium Work.Data Conception Requires the ability to compare andor judge the readily observable functional structural or composite characteristics whether similar to or divergent from obvious standards of data people or things.Interpersonal Communication Requires the ability to speak andor signal people to convey or exchange information.
