Round One Entertainment is looking to hire for our Sports Challenge Department. The location is our facility in Willowbrook, TX at the Willowbrook Mall.

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the operation of the Sports Challenge (Spo-Cha) Department. Monitor and enforce the “House Rules”, while ensuring all guests and employees are in a safe environment.
Applicants MUST have a high school diploma or GED.
Our work hours are from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM daily.
Open availability, especially nights and weekends is highly preferred.

Benefits:
- 1 hour of time play (non-prize) arcade games per week.

Essential Duties:
- Able to communicate in a large and crowded facility. Project voice so all guests can hear.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers.
- Operate and assist all functions related to the “POS” Point-of-Sale system, including guest registration and enrollment.
- Inform guests and promote the Round 1 membership card.
- Handle customer inquiries at the guest reception desk, activities floor, and service counter.
- Perform daily maintenance & safety inspections. Observe and report any safety hazards.
- Monitor and engage guests on the Spo-Cha floor to prevent dangerous play/actions by enforcing house rules.
- In the event of customer injuries/accidents, follow company guidelines. Immediately report and document to MOD, and GM as necessary.
- Report any facility or equipment damage/malfunction to management and the mechanic team.
- Assist guests with activity rules and procedures.
- When assigned - Host events, birthday parties, & group activities.
- Regularly perform light cleaning to maintain the facility.
- Maintaining sanitary and hygienic practices in the food and beverage area and kitchen.
- Prepare and serve food/drinks at the snack bar.
- Organize and maintain all equipment storage.
- Perform inventory counts and inventory management.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by direct supervisors and management.
Non-Essential Duties:
- Conduct alcohol and age restriction control in accordance with company policy.
- Conduct “lost and found” procedures in accordance with company policies.
- Participate in, and engage in the improvement of the Spo-Cha department. Including finding ways to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Complies and maintains confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma and a minimum of one to two years of experience in a hospitality or retail environment.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment.
- Elevated levels of noise, dust, and activity can and should be expected.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. All employees are expected to perform their job duties in this environment with no issue.
- Any potential issues you may have working in this environment MUST be disclosed to management prior to signing this document.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb, and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces.
- The employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time without breaks during busy times.
- In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle feel and reach with hands and arms to perform their job duties.
- Lifting and/or moving up to 100 lbs with assistance is required.

Round1 is an multi entertainment activity complex company holding 5 stores in California, 1in Washington, 1 in Texas, 1 in Massachusetts and 1 in Illinois. (as of April, 2016).
Our typical store is around 50,000 square foot age as anchor tenants in shopping malls. In it, we offer bowling, arcade games, billiards, darts, ping pong, food and drinks, a variation that is not matched by other competitors in the industry.
Round1 originated back in 1980 and with the support from the fans and customers have successfully grown into a 113 store accounting for $890 million in sales. The stores combined bring in over 25 million customers annually. We cater to wide range of customers from family, groups of kids and adults providing an extraordinary fun and unforgettable experience. First oversea expansion was targeted to the United States as the company opened up the 1st store abroad in City of Industry, California back in August of 2010. From there the company has continued to add and now has 9 and counting. 2016 has at least 3 stores scheduled to open in Grapevine TX, Concord CA and Exton PA.
We are currently recruiting staff members and managers to join the company and help with the growth and the development. They will specifically be roles in opening up new locations and operating them. Employment of staff and managers operating existing stores are available as well. All employees with significant performances and outputs will be considered for internal advancement to GM. Beyond GM is a District Manager role. Depending on the skills and the expertise, advancing to a specific HQ position is possible as well.
