MHS is currently seeking an Indoor Percussion 1st Assistant for the upcoming winter indoor percussion season. The percussion instructor/assistant must demonstrate strong skills in both battery and mallet instruments. The instructor will assist with recruitment and organization of the percussion group. Duties to include weekly rehearsals including small group instruction. This is a seasonal position that runs from November through April. A commitment for the winter indoor season with approximately 200 hours required from November 2026 through April 2027. Stipend determined based on experience: $3,922 - $5,098.

High School Diploma with percussion experience required.
Bachelor's degree in music (Percussion specialist) preferred.
Strong marching band /drum corps experience preferred.
Two or more years' teaching experience preferred.
Ability to interact with students of different ages and skill level in a positive and professional manner.
Must exhibit a commitment to high student achievement and support for all students in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for MHS students.
