The Occupational Health Athletic Trainer supports the health and safety of employees within an industrial setting. This role focuses on injury prevention, early intervention, and rehabilitation through on-site programs and individualized care.
What You’ll Do
Evaluate employee health and provide on-site injury prevention and early intervention
Deliver first aid care and promote safe work practices
Lead stretching and warm-up programs to reduce injury risk
Develop rehabilitation and return-to-work plans
Perform ergonomic and job site assessments
Coach proper body mechanics and movement techniques
Support clinic operations, testing, and required trainings
Build positive relationships with employees and clients
Provide education through workshops and training sessions
Maintain certifications and stay current with best practices
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from an accredited four-year program (required)
Experience
At least one year of relevant experience preferred, ideally in worker’s compensation or an industrial setting
Licenses & Certifications
Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) (required)
Current National Athletic Trainers’ Association certification (required)
