    Job Description

    Shape How Cans Are Made — One Startup at a Time

    Picture your morning on the assembly floor: you meet with Electrical Engineers and System Assemblers, review the day’s test plan, and power up a newly built section of Stolle can-making equipment. You wire, verify, and bring complex electrical systems to life, then push them through simulated operating conditions to prove performance before customers sign off.

    What youll do

    • Assemble electrical systems and prototypes using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
    • Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical instruments and test equipment.
    • Program and diagnose controls on Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Siemens platforms (TIA Portal v13 and SCOUT v4.4).
    • Set up and run test equipment to evaluate parts, assemblies, and full systems under simulated operating conditions.
    • Lead startup troubleshooting and support customer buy-offs on site.
    • Partner closely with Electrical Engineers and System Assemblers to identify, define, and resolve developmental issues.
    • Review and help keep electrical engineering criteria current; coordinate ongoing modifications to contract specs and plans.
    • Build and test electrical components for electric-drive vehicles and prototype vehicles.
    • Take on additional, related duties as assigned.

    What you bring

    • Associate degree plus 335 years of hands-on industry experience, or 10+ years of hands-on industry experience.
    • Applied knowledge of engineering science and technologyusing principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment in design and production of goods/services.
    • Strength in math, reading, writing, speaking, listening, critical thinking, decision-making, and complex problem-solving.

    • Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs (with and without safety), servos, VFDs, and touchscreen operator panels

    Work environment & physicals

    • Typical schedule: 4055 hours per week; may include overtime, on-call status, evenings, and/or weekends.
    • Extended periods of sitting or standing.
    • Up to 25% travel.
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
