Job Purpose

The Industrial Automation Program Manager is responsible for end-to-end execution of complex capital equipment programs, ensuring alignment between customer commitments, internal manufacturing operations, and financial objectives. This role owns program schedules, coordinates purchasing and material flow, and drives cross-functional execution through assembly, integration, testing, and delivery. Operating within an Epicor ERP environment, the Program Manager ensures disciplined planning, change control, and risk management while serving as the primary point of accountability for program performance. Success is measured by on-time delivery, quality outcomes, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of industrial automation from order handoff through final acceptance.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed program schedules aligned with contractual milestones and manufacturing capacity.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across engineering, supply chain, machine build, qualification, and quality.
  • Drive daily, weekly, and monthly program reviews to ensure alignment on priorities, risks, and recovery actions.
  • Maintain clear program governance, including scope definition, change control, and decision escalation.
  • Identify critical paths, resource constraints, and schedule risks, and implement mitigation plans proactively.
  • Communicate schedule status and recovery plans to internal leadership and customers as required.
  • Drive issue resolution for technical, quality, or execution challenges impacting build or qualification.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in operations program management (NPI) or manufacturing within a complex production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules, including critical path analysis and resource planning.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, production, and quality.
  • Proven ability to manage risk, prioritize issues, and identify constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machine build, system integration, and qualification/validation activities.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar) and ERP/MRP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in metal additive equipment manufacturing.
  • Experience in FDA-regulated industries, preferably medical devices.

VulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidates skills, qualifications, and experience.

In addition, VulcanForms provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, generous paid time off, and a 401k plan with company match. The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $140,000.
