What youll tackle

  • Install and start up robotic unloaders and custom automation per drawings and specifications.
  • Validate alignment and tolerances during erection and installation.
  • Diagnose, test, and adjust company equipment at customer sites to peak performance.
  • Use meters, gauges, and electrical test instruments to confirm compliance.
  • Deliver remote support via phone and email; log issues and resolutions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve product concerns quickly.
  • Train customer teams on operation and maintenance best practices.
  • Complete all commissioning, service, and customer documentation.
  • Confirm installation acceptance and activate warranty coverage.
  • Contribute to special projects and additional assignments.

Must-haves

  • High school diploma or GED and 12 years of technical experience.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean record.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, specs, standards, and O&M instructions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for reports and customer interaction.
  • Math capability with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Problem-solving skills for concrete variables and limited standardization; interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule instructions.
  • Proficiency with hand/power tools and electronic test equipment; basic office tech (computer, phone, copier, fax).
  • PPE readiness when required (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes/boots, etc.).
  • Frequent travel, including several overnights some weeks; international travel possible.

Where youll work

  • Home base: SAI office 860A Waterman Avenue; East Providence, RI
  • Field territory: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia; travel across North America as needed.
  • Company-provided tools and a vehicle for all work travel.

Schedule, pay, and perks

  • Full-time / 1st Shift
  • MondayFriday with overtime as needed
  • Starting pay: $20.00$37.00 per hour (experience/qualifications)
