Job Title: Industrial Blaster Painter I
Location: Pasadena, TX
Pay Rate: $25 per hour
Summary:
- Duration: 12 Months
- 1st Shift: 7am to 3pm, Monday – Friday
- OT and weekends
Remove dirt, rust, old paint, and other contaminants from surfaces using various blasting media (e.g., sand, grit, shot).
Prepare surfaces for painting to ensure proper adhesion and durability of the coating.
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from defects before painting.
Coating Application:
Apply industrial coatings (e.g., paints, primers, sealants) using various methods (e.g., spray guns, brushes, rollers).
Mix and apply coatings according to specifications and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation:
- Remove dirt, rust, old paint, and other contaminants from surfaces using various blasting media (e.g., sand, grit, shot).
- Prepare surfaces for painting to ensure proper adhesion and durability of the coating.
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from defects before painting.
- Coating Application:
- Apply industrial coatings (e.g., paints, primers, sealants) using various methods (e.g., spray guns, brushes, rollers).
- Mix and apply coatings according to specifications and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of related experience.
- Industrial and epoxy painting experience.
- Zinc coating experience.
- Forklift experience.
- Sandblasting experience.
- SAP experience preferred but not required (ERP systems a plus).
Preferred Skills:
- Paint mixing experience.
- Good communicator.
- Attention to detail (checking thickness in paint).
