What You’ll Do 

As an Industrial Construction Manager I, you’ll coordinate day‑to‑day field execution for industrial projects—aligning contractors, inspectors, and SSR engineers to deliver safe, quality work on schedule and within budget while keeping clients informed and satisfied. 

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and budget multiple industrial construction projects; maintain schedule, cost, and quality expectations. 
  • Determine labor requirements and coordinate with contractors; dispatch workers and supervise field activities through subordinate personnel. 
  • Study job specifications to select appropriate construction methods; implement and maintain quality control programs. 
  • Serve as the primary field liaison—maintain regular communication with clients and SSR engineers; provide progress updates and resolve issues. 
  • Meet with inspectors to interpret specifications and codes; document decisions, RFIs, and corrective actions. 
  • Prepare and deliver clear presentations, staff reports, and construction activity reports from the field and office. 
  • Respond promptly to client suggestions and complaints; ensure timely resolution and client satisfaction. 
  • Lead and document site visits to verify field conditions, track quantities, take measurements, and observe safety and workmanship. 
  • Engage in self‑education to stay current on industry trends and standards; perform responsibilities consistent with ethical standards in the company handbook. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support successful project delivery. 

 

Who We’re Looking For 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management with four years of experience OR 
  • Technical school graduate with six years of experience (some experience specifically in Construction Management) 
  • CPM or PMP preferred 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Working knowledge of state/local construction and building guidelines and industrial construction practices. 
  • Ability to interpret industrial contracts, special provisions, plans, specifications, and technical drawings. 
  • Strong presentation, written communication, and speech clarity; confident in client‑facing meetings and field interactions. 
  • Organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills; attention to detail; ability to orchestrate multiple activities to meet schedule and budget. 
  • Interpersonal collaboration with clients, contractors, inspectors, and internal engineers; commitment to quality and safety.
