Industrial Construction Superintendent - Central Jersey

This Central Jersey-based General Contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee industrial construction projects throughout the region. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on field leader with strong scheduling, coordination, and safety management experience who can successfully drive projects from groundbreaking through completion.

Description

The Industrial Construction Superintendent will:

• Manage all field operations from project startup through closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved
• Conduct daily jobsite meetings and oversee construction activities
• Enforce safety policies and maintain OSHA compliance
• Monitor project quality and oversee QA/QC initiatives
• Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Work closely with Project Managers to address field issues and maintain project schedules
• Track jobsite productivity and identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
• Manage punch list completion and project turnover activities
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders

Profile

The successful Industrial Construction Superintendent will have:

• 7-10 years of Superintendent experience in construction
• Experience overseeing industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution center, or large commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, site logistics, and safety requirements
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project activities simultaneously
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• OSHA certification preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to proactively resolve jobsite challenges and maintain project schedules
• Proven track record of completing projects safely, on time, and within project objectives
