Imagine taking a legacy line and, by applying GM GCCS or FACS, turning it into a consistent, maintainable, data‑visible cell—right from the floor in Warren, MI. That’s the impact of this role. You’ll bring Rockwell expertise to life in Studio 5000, advance Ignition SCADA, and integrate Beckhoff on EtherCAT to unify PLC, HMI, and SCADA layers.

Your Mission

• Design, program, commission, and troubleshoot Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley PLC systems (ControlLogix/CompactLogix) using Studio 5000.
• Apply GM controls standards (GCCS and/or FACS) on both new and existing machinery to ensure common, supportable solutions.
• Migrate legacy control logic and documentation into current, GM‑aligned standards.
• Build soft automation standards—reusable logic libraries, templates, and naming conventions—that scale across cells.
• Engineer and support SCADA systems with a preference for Ignition.
• Integrate Beckhoff hardware and manage EtherCAT networking across PLC, HMI, and SCADA architectures.
• Support EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT networks and collaborate closely with IT/OT counterparts.
• Read, redline, and update electrical schematics, I/O lists, and related controls documentation.
• Be present on the floor to support installation, debug, launch, and solve production issues in real time.
• Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and integrator partners to improve uptime, safety, and standardization.
