Industrial Controls Maintenance Electrician
Join Eaton’s Mission Systems Division (IS AER MSD) in Orchard Park, NY and keep our production moving. You’ll arrive at 3:00 pm, hand off with the previous shift, and spend the evening safeguarding the electrical health of our facility and equipment until 11:00 pm.
A day in the life (3pm–11pm)
- Survey lines and critical systems; prioritize maintenance tickets and preventive tasks.
- Read and interpret maintenance specifications, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan work.
- Lay out, install, modify, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, communication and control systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and related equipment.
- Diagnose root causes and make repairs to production and facility systems to spec.
- Build and fabricate special-purpose assemblies for electrical measurement, control, and communications.
- Troubleshoot PLCs and process instrumentation; restore uptime safely and quickly.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and avoid failures.
- Document work performed; maintain accurate company records.
- Follow and promote all safety rules, lockout/tagout, and electrical code practices.
- Apply knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
Schedule & pay
- Shift: 2nd shift, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm
- Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
- Compensation will vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, and market/business factors.
Location
On-site at Eaton’s Mission Systems Division, Orchard Park, NY.
Basic qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- No relocation offered; only candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications
- State Licensed Journeyman.
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
- 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of: Welding/Fabrication; Piping systems; Electricity; PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); Process control instrumentation; Process equipment; Personal computing.
