Overview of Role
Reporting to the Industrial Design Manager, the Industrial Designer is a growing member of the Platform Product Development team tasked with creating disruptive, innovative, and sustainable product solutions. Helping the world’s best athletes perform at their peak, this role creates concepts that address user and brand partner needs to strengthen the user experience of our platform solutions. The Industrial Designer supports project teams from concept development through manufacturing preparation, working under the day-to-day guidance of the Industrial Design Manager or Lead Industrial Designer. Through connection to our Brand Partner industries and BOA user feedback, this role will be responsible for identifying future opportunities and product needs, validating concepts, and balancing those needs against manufacturing constraints and organizational requirements. This role will mix technical details with current trends to create visually and functionally appropriate products that inspire and enable peak performance.
Responsibilities (EN):
Core Responsibilities
- Reflect and role model BOA’s vision, values, and Leadership Model across the team and organization.
- Support all Industrial Design phases of BOA Product Development projects, from project brief and product requirement creation, end-market and user research, and concept development from 2D through 3D production-ready CAD.
- Conceptually explore, evaluate, and recommend product design attributes as they relate to form, function, User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX), human factors, ergonomics, aesthetic, manufacturing requirements, and project goals.
- Partner with Product Line Directors to understand product strategy, segmentation plan, and other Commercial needs.
- Support Design Engineers with designs for all other parts, helping modify and collaborate on primary CAD files.
- Create 2D and 3D content to support commercial launches: inspiration images, use cases for specific user categories and applications, concept sketches, functional breadboard concept models, product storyboards, and vector art for distribution.
- Help execute other design requests from departments across the company.
Qualifications (EN):
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design.
- 3+ years of Industrial Design experience.
- Experience conducting market research and connecting user needs to product design.
- Working knowledge of typical Industrial Design skills such as 2D sketching in analog and digital formats, 3D CAD (Onshape, SolidWorks), and CAD rendering (Keyshot).
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, with expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Mechanical aptitude that allows you to build deep understanding of our products and components.
- Demonstrate strong visual process and concepting skills.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse groups of people across the globe.
- A passion for continuously learning and seeking out new approaches.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 5%.

- Experience with User Interface and Human Factors.
Overview of Compensation and Benefits
- Budgeted salary range: $75,000 - $90,000
- We will determine salary based on skills and experience in relation to the function of the role, as well as equity to any other employees with similar experience in the same or similar role
- This role is also eligible for a 10% annual bonus
