Industrial Diesel Generator Mechanic – South & Central Florida

We are hiring experienced and highly qualified Industrial Diesel Generator Field Technicians for immediate positions in Miami, South Florida, and Central Florida. This is a full-time, local field position with daily home time, a take-home service truck, and a competitive hourly rate up to $55/hour DOE. We’re looking for elite-level techs who can handle everything from preventative maintenance to major overhauls, electrical diagnostics, ATS troubleshooting, and paralleling switchgear systems. What You’ll Be Doing:
Perform preventative maintenance, load bank testing, diagnostics, and full-service repairs on diesel and natural gas generators from 20kW to 2MW+.
Troubleshoot and repair engine systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, charging systems, and exhaust after-treatment components.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues, control panels, battery systems, transfer switches (ATS), and paralleling gear.
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and OEM service manuals.
Provide emergency service and troubleshooting to critical infrastructure sites (healthcare, data centers, municipalities, etc.).
Communicate effectively with dispatch, service coordinators, and customers to complete jobs efficiently and professionally.
Accurately document all work completed, parts used, and diagnostics in field service software.
Maintain clean and organized service truck, tools, and equipment.
Uphold safety and environmental protocols on every job site.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working on industrial diesel generators (brands like CAT, Cummins, Kohler, Generac, MTU, etc.).
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, ATS functionality, and generator controls.
Capable of independent troubleshooting and complete repair without supervision.
Factory/OEM training or military power generation experience is a strong plus.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Strong work ethic, professional attitude, and high safety awareness.
Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation if required.
