Do you like building things with your hands? Can you read a blueprint, measure twice, and assemble once? Are you the person teammates trust to catch the details that others miss? If so, you could be the next key contributor on our SPX production team assembling electric heating units for industrial, military, and commercial use.

Where You’ll Contribute

You may work in Fin, Coil, COTB, or General Assembly—wherever your skills make the biggest impact.

• Follow engineering drawings and work orders to build complete heating units.
• Operate hand and power tools to fabricate and install components.
• Wind fin/coil material using dedicated machinery to exact dimensions.
• Install electrical elements: breakers, thermostats, relays, and bus bars.
• Measure, cut, and tack-weld materials as needed.
• Conduct hydro and electrical testing for safety and performance.
• Verify quality, troubleshoot, and perform corrective adjustments or repairs.

Shifts That Fit

• 1st: Mon–Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 2nd: Mon–Thu, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM ($5 shift differential)
• Weekend: Fri–Sun, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM (OT paid for hours over 36)

Shipping & Receiving (If This Is Your Assignment)

• Receive and inspect incoming items; log via packing slips and freight records.
• Weigh, crate, and prepare finished units for shipment.
• Manage shipping paperwork and systems (bills of lading, UPS/FedEx online tools).
• Support stockroom and inventory accuracy.

What It Takes

Minimum

• 1–3 months of relevant hands-on experience and/or training.

Great To Have

• Experience with soldering, brazing, or wiring (certification not required).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude and a strong safety mindset.
• Detail-focused; able to follow technical directions thoroughly.
• Comfort in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
• Dependable teammate who takes ownership and pride in work.
• Blueprint and technical instruction reading; basic math skills.
• Skilled with hand tools; able to lift/move up to 25 lbs when needed.

Work Setting & Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, manual dexterity, and reaching; frequent walking and talking/hearing.
• Occasional sitting; climbing/balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Vision needs include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
• Occasional exposure to moving machinery, fumes/airborne particles, electrical shock risk, and vibration.
• Typical noise level: very loud. PPE is provided and required in designated areas.
