Industrial Electrical Construction Project Manager

A day in the life

You lead industrial electrical construction projects valued from $0 to $5,000,000, stewarding each phase—from early concept and estimate handoff to final payment and closeout. You safeguard schedule, budget, quality, and safety while embodying Renfrow Industrial’s Core Values in every interaction. Alongside senior engineers, you help shape designs by developing electrical schematics, selecting components, and supporting the build and commissioning of control panels.

What you’ll own

• Full lifecycle project leadership, ensuring successful and profitable outcomes.
• Collaborative budget alignment: review estimated man-hours and costs with project staff to meet or exceed targets.
• Accurate cost and quantity reporting delivered promptly to the Director.

Safety and craft excellence

• Champion company safety and quality programs; plan proactively for incident prevention.
• Continuously monitor safe work practices and housekeeping on every site.
• Verify all work adheres to contract drawings and specifications with high craftsmanship.

Plan and control the work

• Translate the estimate into a practical, living schedule and maintain it through project completion.
• Keep the project on schedule and within the approved budget.
• Ensure the team understands the contracted scope; capture deviations via timely, documented change orders.

Procurement and compliance

• Direct purchasing and management of materials, equipment, tools, and subcontractors.
• Operate in full alignment with Renfrow policies.
• Personally ensure adherence to all contractual documentation and required notifications; this responsibility is not delegated.

Customers, billing, and growth

• Issue timely, accurate billings to promote the strongest possible cash flow.
• Build durable customer relationships, pursue new opportunities, and expand project scope where it increases company profit.

Closeout and team leadership

• Oversee closeout activities, including collections, claims resolution, and a final internal project analysis with feedback to superintendents and estimating.
• Complete performance evaluations for superintendents and craftsmen, delivering actionable coaching across all performance areas.

Where you’ll work

You’ll split time between the office and active construction sites. Site visits require navigating uneven terrain and observing real-time field conditions.

Qualifications

• Industrial Electrical Experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Procore, and Bluebeam.
• Sharp attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative mindset.
