Goodfellow Corporation is looking for an Industrial Electrical Engineer to support the design and production of electrical control panels used on crushing, screening, and conveying equipment in the mining and aggregate industries.
This position will focus on electrical drawings, Bills of Material, panel layouts, and technical support for our electrical production team. The right person should understand 480V industrial control systems and be comfortable working with breakers, starters, VFDs, soft starts, PLCs, transformers, relays, and control wiring.
Responsibilities
- Create and update electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control drawings
- Develop accurate Bills of Material for stock and custom panel builds
- Support panel builders with technical questions during production
- Help standardize drawings, wiring methods, and component layouts
- Work with purchasing to confirm electrical parts and availability
- Assist sales and estimating with technical information when needed
- Help resolve drawing issues, wiring conflicts, and layout questions
- Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or equivalent experience
- Experience with 480V industrial electrical systems
- Knowledge of electrical control panels, MCCs, VFDs, starters, soft starts, PLCs, and control wiring
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar electrical design software
- Ability to create drawings and BOMs that can be used by production
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Experience in mining, aggregate, manufacturing, or industrial equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with NEC, OSHA, and MSHA standards is a plus
Work Environment
This is an office-based engineering position with regular interaction with the electrical production shop. This is not intended to be a field service position.
