The Morgan Corp. Industrial Division is an industrial contractor that self-performs all major trades in industrial markets (power, water/wastewater, water infrastructure, mining, etc.) throughout the Southeast. We pride ourselves on performing quality work safely by developing and executing the best plan. 

We are currently seeking an experienced industrial Electrical Superintendent for projects in the Greensboro, NC, area. 

The electrical superintendent plans, coordinates, and leads all activities for their trade and may require managing some work for other trades, including specialty subcontractors (such as fire detection, lightning protection) required for the successful completion of the project. This position must also be able to handle daily communication with the owner’s field representatives, implement all safety and environmental requirements for the project, as well as be able to implement required quality control measures for all electrical activities. 


Key Responsibilities


  • Reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
  • Working with the project team to develop and implement work plans for the Foreman and craft teams to perform.
  • Have a good understanding of computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Motivate supervision and direct craft to meet work goals.
  • Support weekly schedule updates and labor hour projections.
  • Daily labor and equipment entry for all crews.
  • Author and submit daily reports.
  • Play a role in hiring and evaluating employees.
  • Evaluate the skill level of craftworkers and provide/coordinate training for employees.
  • Perform routine safety, environmental, and quality inspections.
  • Ability to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
  • Coordinate all related subcontractor needs and implementation.
  • Supervise electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and repair as needed.
  • Perform material takeoffs.
  • Ensure material orders and deliveries are scheduled to meet the construction schedule. Ensure adequate inventory for planned work.
  • Compliance with local and NEC electrical codes
  • Possess and implement Morgan Corp.’s social contract. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


10 to 15 years of electrical construction work.
5 years of foreman experience. 
In-depth knowledge of:
  • Power systems up to 6000v (15kv preferred)
  • Control systems
  • RGC and PVC conduit
  • Cable tray
  • Duct banks
  • Cable pulling
  • Cable terminations
  • Gear installation
  • Grounding
Trade School Certification or an Associate Degree in electrical-related fields is highly valued.
