Title: Industrial Electrician
Location: Bartlett, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Shift 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Required weekend coverage: One day per week, based on production needs)
Compensation: $79-89K
Bonus/ Incentives/ Stock Options: $200 monthly safety bonus (based on overall plant performance; consistently achieved throughout the year)

  • PLC programming experience highly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting capability with willingness to grow into programming responsibilities

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join a high-performing Maintenance team at a primary manufacturing facility, with support responsibilities for a newly constructed plant upon opening. This role will serve as a key technical lead for electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment installation initiatives in a highly regulated environment.


Job Duties: 

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including wiring, circuitry, motors, control panels, and automation equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues involving PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial control systems
  • Support and lead new machine installations, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities within both existing and new plant operations
  • Serve as a technical resource for electrical systems in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and internal safety protocols
  • Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, production, and leadership teams to support operational goals
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in equipment optimization projects
  • Utilize proper testing tools and voltage detection equipment to ensure safe work practices
  • Participate in ongoing training and development related to evolving technologies and systems

 

Qualifications: 

  • 4–5+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Strong experience with 480V 3-phase systems and industrial motor controls
  • Proven experience with new equipment installation, commissioning, and machinery upgrades
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley required)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  • Solid understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with industrial automation and control systems
  • Stable work history (no frequent job changes preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and reliability
