    Description

    Machining Skilled Trades – Industrial Electrician Level III (3rd Shift)

    Location: Jamestown, NY

    Schedule: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (± based on production needs)

    Pay: Approximately $39.99/hour ($37.70 base + $2.29/hour shift premium)

    Position Overview

    We're seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician Level III to join a manufacturing team supporting advanced machining operations. In this role, you'll troubleshoot, install, repair, test, and maintain industrial electrical systems to maximize equipment uptime, improve reliability, and support safe manufacturing operations.

    This position is ideal for an experienced industrial electrician with strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with PLCs, CNC equipment, robotics, and automated manufacturing systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

    • Troubleshoot, install, repair, test, and maintain industrial electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
    • Diagnose electrical, control, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures.
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
    • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
    • Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.

    Automation & Controls

    • Troubleshoot and support:
    • PLC systems
    • HMI interfaces
    • Servo drives
    • CNC machinery
    • Robotics
    • Automated manufacturing equipment
    • Support machine programming and automation improvements.
    • Assist with equipment upgrades and process improvements.

    Manufacturing Support

    • Respond to equipment downtime and restore production as quickly as possible.
    • Support prototype, production, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Provide input into preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability efforts.
    • Participate in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
    • Immediately report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
    • Work safely around electrical and other hazardous energy sources.
    • Maintain compliance with NEC, IEC, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards.

    Leadership & Teamwork

    • Coach and mentor apprentices and less experienced technicians.
    • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams.
    • Support a culture of teamwork, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Significant industrial electrical maintenance experience or specialized technical training
    • Ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical systems
    • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
    • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

    One of the Following Is Required

    • 7+ years of relevant industrial electrical or maintenance experience
    • Journeyman Electrician certification with applicable experience
    • Associate's degree (or 2-year technical degree) in a related field plus 3+ years of industrial electrical or machine repair experience
