TRC Talent Solutions is currently partnering with a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier to identify an Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations through process optimization, labor analysis, facility planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will focus on increasing operational efficiency, reducing waste, improving material flow, and supporting the successful execution of manufacturing and expansion projects.
This position works closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to drive productivity improvements and implement best practices across the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, industrial engineering principles, and automotive production environments.
Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Conduct time studies and labor analysis to establish and maintain labor standards.
Develop takt times, line balancing strategies, and workflow improvements.
Identify opportunities for productivity gains, cost reductions, and process optimization.
Support facility layout planning and manufacturing expansion projects.
Improve material flow, warehouse operations, and packaging processes.
Assist with automation initiatives, equipment planning, and manufacturability improvements.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain process documentation and manufacturing standards.
Train production teams on new processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and business objectives.
Analyze manufacturing data and establish metrics to measure process performance.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
5+ years of Industrial Engineering or Lean Manufacturing experience.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement principles.
Experience conducting time studies, labor analysis, and facility planning activities.
Knowledge of material flow optimization, ergonomics, and manufacturing processes.
Experience supporting automation initiatives and production systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Automotive manufacturing experience.
CAD experience.
Experience supporting high-volume production operations.
Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certifications.
