The Production Operations team is seeking an Industrial Engineer specializing in execution of complex Test, Development, and Data Processing needs to support mechanical, electrical and optical hardware builds. This role requires hands-on expertise in both mechanical and electrical domains, enabling the seamless execution of hardware automation, instrumentation, and post-processing. This position requires strong conceptual development and the proficient use, and implementation, of various testing and automation processes within a production environment. Key job responsibilities As an Industrial Engineer, you will be embedded within our design and development teams, working closely with engineers, technicians, and test engineers to accelerate LRU hardware development. - Lead a variety of tasks, including: discrete event simulations, data processing, and operational support. - Work closely with Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to develop functional prototype hardware of complex electro/mechanical systems. - Drive technical innovation and exhibit consistent high-level of quality and speed. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail oriented while showing the highest standards of execution. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent - 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience - Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submittals Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in engineering or equivalent - 3+ years of satellite communications ground systems and operations experience - Experience in creating products and services with hardware and software integrated - Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment - Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form - Experience integrating component modules (I/O, Displays, Batteries, etc.) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
