Information on the division:
Located in Strongsville, the 90+ employee facility (100,000 sq. ft.) is one of Héroux-Devtek's centers of excellence for the final assembly of landing gear.
As part of the Central Division, you will lead P&L responsible for critical machining operations of major commercial aircraft programs such as the Boeing 777 and Embraer E-2, and important military programs as F-18, F-35, C-17 and C-130.

Summary:
The Industrial Engineer will create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing systems and work cross functionally to reduce costs while maintaining standards of operations for the production of commercial and military landing gear.
Main responsibilities:
- Collaborates with senior management and subject matter experts to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines.
- Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts to improve repetitive motions. Reduce or eliminate inefficient processes to maximize operational effectiveness for lines including but not limited to: electro-plating, machine grinding, bushing installation, industrial painting, and assembly.
- Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, and trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organizations competitive edge.
- Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions, while maintaining AS9100, NADCAP, and all regulatory requirements.
- Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs.
- Studying and improving the manufacturing process by monitoring quality, cycle times and methods of operations.
- Conducting oneself in a professional manner and adhering to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering environment. Preference in the aerospace industry.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering required.
- Possess a solid foundation in manufacturing engineering practices and processes.
- Computer software literacy. (Office, Microsoft Project)
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems a plus.
