The Industrial Engineer will optimize systems and processes within the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Medium Voltage (MV) production environment. The role focuses on improving efficiency, productivity, and operational flow across people, materials, information, equipment, and energy.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Analysis
  • Analyze production processes and workflows; recommend improvements including automation enhancements.
  • Collect and analyze operational and production data using statistical analysis, simulations, and predictive modeling.
  • Design and implement integrated systems that align employees, machines, materials, and information for maximum efficiency.
  • Conduct system modeling and capacity planning to support production growth and operational stability.
Resource & Cost Management
  • Develop strategies for efficient allocation of labor, materials, and equipment to reduce costs and maximize output.
  • Perform cost benefit analyses, budgeting, and financial planning to ensure cost effective production systems.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Lead implementation of quality control measures, establish benchmarks, and monitor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement & Project Leadership
  • Lead projects involving new systems, tools, automation, and process improvements.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and improve performance.
Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and technical details clearly to cross functional teams.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of industrial engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, process design, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and mathematical modeling.
  • Experience with engineering and simulation software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, ERP systems).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement in prior roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%, sometimes on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or 6S methodologies.
  • 5+ years of industrial engineering experience in high volume manufacturing or automation projects.
  • Experience in power electronics or inverter manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with solar power systems and battery storage systems.
  • Experience with production lines involving mechanical/electrical connections, circuit boards, and high voltage switches.
  • Proficiency with Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 standards.
