About the Role
As an Industrial Engineer, you will develop improvements in Kohl's extensive, national multi-distribution center network, provide analytical support and execute change initiatives that significantly impact the organization.
What You'll Do
Support designing new facilities, facility retrofits, conveyor changes and other material handling equipment changes
Recommend process improvement opportunities by addressing all aspects of a process, including people, procedures, systems and equipment
Assist with transportation optimization initiatives
Maintain and enhance Kohls labor management program through monitoring of productivity and efficiency
Refine labor management program best methods and procedures, time and motion study, coaching and general program maintenance
Support strategic planning and analysis through forecasting, capacity modeling and network modeling
Provide budget reports, negotiate pricing, monitor and report to Leadership
Implement improvements by coordinating the activities of vendors, internal resources and customers
Adhere to budget, schedule, design and coordinate logistics improvement projects
Oversee vendor performance (timing, schedule and budget)
Provide troubleshooting support for vendor systems and specific material handling equipment downtime for the operational needs of distribution centers
Support the engineering needs of a distribution center by being the subject matter expert for all material handling equipment within the facility
Additional tasks may be assigned
What Skills You Have
REQUIRED
Experience with statistical analysis, work measurement and process analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to multitask across multiple projects
Strong critical thinking skills
On-call responsibility and flexible schedule
Occasional travel, including overnight, to support peak business operations
PREFERRED
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management
Previous experience in distribution/manufacturing engineering
Confident decision-making and leadership skills
AutoCAD experience
Previous experience with SQL
Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $117,000.00
