Senior Industrial Engineer

Location: Villa Rica, GA

TalentBridge is partnered with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to support the launch and ongoing optimization of a new, large-scale distribution operation in West Georgia.

This position will play a key role in developing and improving the processes, material flow, facility layout and operating systems required to support a high-volume distribution environment. The Senior Industrial Engineer will work closely with operations, engineering and other cross-functional teams to evaluate performance, identify constraints and implement improvements across the facility.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong Industrial Engineering foundation along with hands-on experience in a warehouse, distribution or fulfillment environment. Experience with facility layout, material handling systems and distribution automation is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Analyze warehouse and distribution processes to improve throughput, material flow, productivity, space utilization and overall operating efficiency.
• Evaluate facility layouts, storage strategies, equipment utilization and product movement to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support the implementation and optimization of material handling and warehouse automation systems.
• Develop and monitor operational metrics related to throughput, capacity, cycle time, labor utilization and process performance.
• Lead Industrial Engineering and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Conduct capacity analysis, time studies, process mapping and workflow analysis to identify bottlenecks and operational constraints.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, IT and other functional teams on process changes, equipment implementation and facility initiatives.
• Support capital projects through data analysis, business justification, implementation planning and post-installation performance evaluation.
• Develop standard work, operating procedures and sustainable processes to support consistent execution.
• Use ERP, business intelligence and analytical tools to evaluate operational data and support decision-making.
• Provide technical guidance and Industrial Engineering support to site leadership as the operation continues to grow and mature.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of Industrial Engineering, process improvement or related experience within a warehouse, distribution, fulfillment or material-handling environment.
• Experience with facility layout, material flow, storage systems and/or warehouse automation.
• Strong understanding of Industrial Engineering principles including capacity analysis, process flow, labor utilization, productivity and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading projects and working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain teams.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational data into practical improvements.
• Experience with ERP and business intelligence/reporting systems; SAP and Power BI experience are beneficial.
• Experience with automated storage/retrieval systems, conveyors, sortation or other automated material-handling technologies is a plus.
• Ability to travel periodically for training, project support and collaboration with other facilities.
