Position Summary

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving operational efficiency, and leading large-scale projects including production line relocations, plant layout redesigns, and facility moves. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver cost savings, productivity gains, and seamless transitions during major operational changes.

Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes using Lean and Six Sigma
  • Conduct workflow analysis, line balancing, and capacity planning
  • Implement cost reduction and productivity initiatives

Facility & Line Move Project Leadership

  • Partner with leadership in the execution of production line moves and facility transitions
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Oversee installation, validation, and ramp-up

Plant Layout & Industrial Design

  • Design optimized plant layouts
  • Improve material flow and space utilization
  • Support facility planning initiatives

Data Analysis & Performance Management

  • Analyze production data and identify bottlenecks
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operations, supply chain, finance, and EHS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience with high impact line moves or facility transformations
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
  • CAD proficiency
  • Strong project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma certification
  • Automotive or heavy manufacturing experience
  • ERP/MES system experience
  • Plant startup or expansion experience
