The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support advanced manufacturing operations in Ocala, FL. This is an exciting opportunity for a process-driven engineering professional with strong expertise in factory layout design, workflow optimization, Lean manufacturing, time studies, and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience improving facility layouts, production efficiency, cost reduction, and manufacturing performance in complex production environments.
What You’ll Do
  • Analyze and design manufacturing workflows, facility layouts, and operational sequences to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and implement large-scale factory and equipment layouts to maximize utilization and reduce waste
  • Conduct:
    • Work measurement studies
    • Time studies
    • PMTS analysis
    • Work sampling
    • Direct labor analysis
  • Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support:
    • Cost reduction
    • Inventory control
    • Capacity planning
    • Production optimization
  • Use data analytics and statistical tools to identify trends and drive operational improvements
  • Support facility modifications and process redesign based on engineering studies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on manufacturing strategy, productivity improvements, and operational planning
  • Utilize ERP systems and manufacturing software to support data-driven decision-making
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in:
    • Factory layout and design
    • Manufacturing workflow optimization
    • Work measurement and time standards
    • Lean manufacturing / Lean Six Sigma
    • Data analytics and statistical analysis
    • ERP systems and manufacturing software
  • Strong experience with:
    • PMTS
    • Work sampling
    • Direct time study
    • Process optimization
  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Volume and capacity forecasting experience
  • Defense, aerospace, or high-volume manufacturing experience
Pay $62.26 per hour DOE
