JOB TITLE: Industrial Engineer
LOCATION: Ocala, FL
PAY RATE: $62.26/hour

Summary: 

  • Lead and champion a facility-wide 6S (Sort, Set-in-Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) and Value Stream Mapping transformation to embed Lean Manufacturing principles across daily operations.

  • Design, launch, and sustain a comprehensive 6S program across the entire manufacturing facility.

  • Conduct baseline 6S audits, establish visual management standards, and implement daily, weekly, and monthly audit cycles.

  • Develop and enforce 6S policies, procedures, checklists, and visual signage to support plant-wide standardization and engagement.

  • Map current value streams to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.

  • Redesign workstations, equipment layouts, and production flow to support Lean principles, cellular manufacturing, and optimized space utilization.

  • Eliminate waste related to motion, transportation, inventory, waiting, defects, overprocessing, and underutilized talent through organized work cells and Lean initiatives.

  • Lead Kaizen events focused on waste elimination, 6S improvements, and Value Stream Mapping efforts.

  • Measure and report cost savings, productivity improvements, and operational efficiencies resulting from Lean initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain real-time dashboards and performance metrics to monitor 6S progress and corrective actions.

  • Train, mentor, and coach frontline teams to drive ownership and sustain 6S and continuous improvement practices.

  • Facilitate ongoing 6S governance meetings, maintain employee suggestion systems, and recognize team successes to reinforce cultural transformation.

  • Collaborate with operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams to maximize space, equipment, and workforce utilization.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading 6S/5S programs in large-scale manufacturing environments.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience redesigning plant layouts to support Lean manufacturing flow and 6S implementation.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience facilitating Value Stream Mapping workshops and driving process improvements.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) Manufacturing.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Cable & Harness Manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated success driving Lean transformation, waste elimination, and operational efficiency improvements.

  • Strong leadership, facilitation, communication, and change management skills.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent Lean/Continuous Improvement certification preferred.
