Job Title: Industrial Engineer 

Location: Waterloo, IA 

Job Type: Full time, on-going contract 

Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week 

Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm 

Pay Range: $37.85-$44.28 per hour

Job Description:  

Position Overview 
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with an Industrial Engineering background to support and optimize our manufacturing operations. This role focuses on driving efficiency, improving quality, and enhancing processes through data-driven analysis and hands-on shop floor support. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support manufacturing and distribution operations with a focus on process efficiency and quality improvement 

• Conduct time studies and work measurement analyses, including support of incentive pay systems (e.g., CIPP) 

• Develop and improve manufacturing methods, tooling, and process design 

• Participate in total preventative maintenance (TPM) and facilities-related initiatives 

• Create and maintain clear, compliant documentation and technical procedures 

• Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with internal teams 

• Provide hands-on shop floor support and troubleshooting (approximately 60% of time on feet) 

• Analyze data and prepare reports using Microsoft Office and related tools 

• Work flexible hours as needed to support production operations 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field 

• 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred 

• Experience with manufacturing/distribution processes, tooling, quality, and facilities 

• Exposure to time studies, work measurement, or incentive-based pay systems 

• Strong technical writing and communication skills 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to stand/walk for approximately 60% of the workday 

• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs as needed
