Description



Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Project / Project‑Process Engineers
  • Drive standardized engineering, estimating, and documentation best practices
  • Oversee estimating activities and review costs, manufacturability, and quality alignment
  • Ensure disciplined use of ERP systems (BOMs, routings, revisions, configuration control)
  • Lead NPD and new project execution from process design through first article shipment
  • Partner with Manufacturing to ensure clean handoffs and robust process documentation
  • Drive value engineering, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical input for customer presentations, supplier engagements, and site visits
  • Analyze planned vs. actual cost and process data to support decision‑making
  • Support PFMEAs, time studies, and documented lessons learned
  • Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and career development for direct reports

Profile



Ideal Candidate

  • BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Proven experience managing engineers and delivering projects end‑to‑end
  • Strong background in fabrication processes (sheet metal, welding, machining, assembly, heat treat)
  • SolidWorks proficiency and strong ERP experience
  • Estimating, cost analysis, and manufacturing launch expertise
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and PFMEAs
  • Strong communicator with the ability to lead, mentor, and influence cross‑functionally
  • Self‑starter with excellent prioritization skills in a multi‑project environment
