Industrial Engineering Manager Responsiblities Defined:
Description
Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or relevant engineering discipline. Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing training is required. Leadership training or demonstrated leadership experience is highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 5-10 years of Industrial Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Prior leadership experience is required. Candidates must have experience supporting assembly and machining operations. Experience in the industrial machinery industry or exposure to the power transmission industry is preferred. Experience leading Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives and fostering a strong safety culture is also required.
Skills and Key Attributes: Demonstrated ability to analyze manufacturing processes and implement process improvements that enhance operational performance. Experience developing labor standards through time studies and work measurement techniques is required. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and project management is required. Working knowledge of ergonomics and OSHA regulations is required. The successful candidate must be team-oriented, possess strong communication and collaboration skills, and have a proven ability to lead and implement organizational changes that improve safety, quality, productivity, and overall business performance.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours per day.
The Industrial Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the Industrial Engineering Department for U.S. Operations to support growth in sales and market share by providing the engineering leadership and resources necessary to meet or exceed Company and Department objectives related to People, Safety, Cost, Quality, and Delivery. This position will be continuous improvement driven, with a strong focus on identifying opportunities and implementing process improvements that enhance operational performance and efficiency.
